利曼大戰
利曼大战[1]，又称为红色德比（Big Red Derby），在英语环境或会称为西北打吡（North West derby）[2]，在华语地区或会称为双红会[3]、双红大战[4][5]，是指英格兰两家最成功的足球会──利物浦与曼联的对赛。
利物浦与曼联两队曾多次赢得英格兰顶级联赛的冠军，亦曾经多次赢得欧洲冠军。
两家球会同样位于英格兰西北地区，且双方所处城市──利物浦市与曼彻斯特市历史上一直处于竞争。

城市间的竞争[编辑]
利物浦是一个港口城市，在十八世纪时与爱尔兰、欧洲、西印度群岛间的贸易，使利物浦成为当时英国第二大都市。1715年利物浦建成英国第一个船坞，而奴隶贸易的利润帮助该市繁荣起来。到18世纪末，利物浦控制了欧洲百分之41，英国百分之80的奴隶贸易。同时这里也是英国工业革命的主要地区之一。十九世纪初，40%的世界贸易通过利物浦船坞。1830年世界上第一条客运铁路在利物浦和曼彻斯特之间开通。
英国工业革命期间，曼彻斯特自十八世纪起成为工业城市，大量纺织厂在此设立。同时间曼彻斯特亦是分销中心，多间重要仓库在此设置。世界上第一条客运铁路──利物浦至曼彻斯特铁路之启用，亦加速了这城市的发展。
The rivalry can be considered as a manifestation of one which already had existed between the two cities since industrial times. During this time both were competing with each other for supremacy of the north-west, with Manchester famous for its manufacturing prowess while Liverpool was famous for the importance of its port.[6] Once the Manchester Ship Canal was built, ships could bypass Liverpool, and transport goods directly into Manchester. Both the crests of Manchester United and Manchester City display a ship representing the canal. During the time since, the two cities had been in decline but have been ascending rapidly over recent years. Recently, Manchester hosted the 2002 Commonwealth Games, while Liverpool has been awarded the title of 2008 European Capital of Culture.

Both clubs claim the title of 'the Greatest English Football Club', with Liverpool winning a total of 58 trophies, while Manchester United have 53. Liverpool dominated English football during the 1970s and 1980s, claiming the league title eleven times and the European Cup on four occasions during that period. Manchester United have been the most successful English team of the 1990s and 2000s, winning ten league titles, two Doubles, The Treble (of the European Cup, the Premiership and the FA Cup) in 1999 and The European Double of the Premier League and European Cup in 2008.
As well as competing on the football pitch, both teams are also two of the biggest-earning clubs in the world, based on revenue.[7] The two also have among the largest fanbases in England and internationally.

球员转会[编辑]
由于两所球会的对抗日渐激烈，因此历年来绝少球员直接转会至对手。最近一次有球员直接转会至对手，已经是1964年的菲尔·奇斯诺尔（Phil Chisnall）[8]。 有些球员曾经为两所球会效力，但并非直接转会，期间曾经代表其他球会，例如保罗·因斯（Paul Ince）和彼得·比尔兹利（Peter Beardsley）。
2007年夏天，曼联的阿根廷后卫海因策试图转会利物浦[9]，被球会严词拒绝。主帅弗格森的回答是：“曼联永远不会出售球员给利物浦，永远不！”，结果海因策最终转会至西班牙的皇家马德里[10] 。
